Anything is possible at Wildernest Farm House Plots - the land of infinite possibilities. Welcome to Wildernest.
Wildernest is within nudging distance of Sinhagad, on of the most popular forts of Maharashtra. It was originally known as Kondana and is 2423 ft above sea level.
It is a trekker’s delight because of the panoramic view it offers of the Deccan region and from its historic ramparts, one can get a breath taking view of Pune, the surrounding lakes and also the neighboring forts of Torna and Raigad. In the old days, so the story goes, the Kondana fort was a strategic outpost overlooking Pune and its capture was vital for Emperor Shivaji’s plan to gain control over Pune.
The fort rechristened Sinhagad, meaning ‘the fort of the lion’ to honour the courage of his General Tanaji, who laid down his life while capturing it.
